In memory of Barbara Chirico, Gem's Founder & Chairwoman

It is with a heavy heart that we share the sad news of the passing of our beloved Barbara Chirico, Gem Worldwide’s Founder and Chairwoman. For nearly 50 years, Barbara has been a cornerstone in our community, a guiding force in the travel industry, and a loving presence in our lives.


Barbara's unwavering commitment and warm spirit have left an indelible mark, shaping Gem Worldwide into the respected company it is today. Her vision and leadership have steered us through decades of success and growth, and her legacy will forever be part of Gem’s shared history.

Barbara was not just a business leader; she was a supporter of industry associations, receiving recognition for her contributions. Her warmth and kindness touched many lives, as evidenced by the heartfelt tributes from those who knew her.


Barbara's Funeral Services:

Visitation - Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Monday January 22nd from 4:00PM-8:00PM at the O’Brien Funeral Home 2028 NJ-35 Wall Township, NJ 07719.

Mass - A mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30AM on Tuesday January 23rd at Church of The Ascension 502 Brinley Avenue Bradley Beach, NJ 07720.

Entombment - will follow at Atlantic View Cemetery, Manasquan.

In lieu of flowers donations in honor of Barbara can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital or to her church, Church of The Ascension in Bradley Beach, NJ.
