Why Fortune 500 Companies Choose Gem Worldwide

Why Fortune 500 companies choose Gem Worldwide
Travel managers at Fortune 500 companies do not buy ground transportation by the trip. They buy a system — one provider that runs the same standard in 750+ cities, integrates with Concur and Sabre and Groundspan, settles billing on one statement, and gives them one phone number when something goes sideways at midnight. Gem Worldwide has built that system over 50 years. Founded in 1976, family-owned through three generations of the Gulino family, WBENC-certified woman-owned, EcoVadis Silver-rated, and now the ground-transportation backbone for some of the largest corporate travel programs on the East Coast and globally.
50 years of consistency
Most chauffeur companies do not survive their second generation. Gem has now passed through three. The senior management team has been with the company for an average of 20+ years. Chauffeurs are full-time employees, not gig drivers — vetted with commercial licenses, ongoing road training, and an institutional knowledge of every venue, hotel, FBO, and corporate campus across NJ, NY, PA, and CT. The trip a CFO took with Gem in 2010 looks identical to the one he takes tonight.
One provider, 750+ cities
Direct Gem service across New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and Connecticut — including JFK, LaGuardia, Newark Liberty, Teterboro, Philadelphia, and the I-95 corridor. Coordinated Gem chauffeur coverage in 750+ cities worldwide, including Los Angeles, Chicago, San Francisco, Miami, Dallas, Houston, Atlanta, Boston, Seattle, Las Vegas, Washington DC, London, Paris, Frankfurt, Amsterdam, Madrid, Milan, Zurich, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Singapore, Sydney, Dubai, Toronto, Vancouver, and every other major global business hub.
Built into the corporate travel stack
Gem reservations flow into SAP Concur Travel alongside flights and hotels. E-receipts auto-post to Concur Expense. Sabre GetThere, Saturn, Groundspan, and Neo1 integrations are live for TMC-managed programs. TMC partnerships include Amex GBT, World Travel, Direct Travel, BCD Travel, and CWT. Programs running their own in-house TMC are supported through direct API or SFTP feeds.
The fleet
Executive sedans (Volvo S90, Lincoln Nautilus, Lincoln Aviator), premium SUVs (Cadillac Escalade, Chevrolet Suburban), Executive Sprinters (up to 14 passengers), mini coaches (27 to 40 passengers), and motor coaches (56 passengers). Every vehicle inspected before dispatch, every chauffeur briefed on the trip, every reservation tracked on the 24/7 Gem dispatch line.
The trust stack procurement asks for
$5M+ commercial automobile liability per vehicle. $2M general liability. Additional umbrella coverage on request. WBENC-certified woman-owned business — a meaningful SBE/MBE credit for programs with diversity-spend requirements. EcoVadis Silver-rated for sustainability. Member of the National Limousine Association, Chauffeur Driven Magazine, NJ Limousine Association, GBTA, and MPI. SOC2-aligned controls and a defined duty-of-care manifest cadence for programs that require it.
